Very nice…we have a couple in the garden that are just getting ready to pick. We are hoping the squirrels and the birds don’t get them first!

I used to lose most of my strawberries to the competition. But I found picking them (the strawberries, not the competition) a day or two before they turn completely red and then ripening them inside restored my position on the food chain.

Strawberries are great for a time-challenged, inept gardener like me. They’re like weeds. I planted one strawberry plant four years ago and, by itself, it has spread into six or seven plants that produce more copiously each season. They take care of themselves.
