By far the worst weather I’ve seen here in 18 years. My Japanese wife says she’s never seen rain in Japan like this in her life. Both our universities have closed for three days. Many trains aren’t running.

Thanks, Valerie. Things seem to finally clearing up today. It’s a mess, though. Fifty confirmed dead in Osaka, and at least fifty others missing.
