Let’s take a real look at Joe Biden. He is the victim of a political hit job by his soon to be competitors in the race for President. They are trying to take him out of the race. Yes, he should be aware of people’s personal spaces, but he is a hugger. He hugs men also. Yes, he will have to change in the sterile PC environment he finds himself in. Shame on the lefties for trying to eliminate him before he has even announced he is running!
I don’t think so. I believe it is from some of the other nominees. He has the highest percentage in the polls and if they can just keep him out of the race they will.
What you “believe” is irrelevant. The biggest, loudest, and most numerous voices going after him are all right wing pundits and meme makers. The Democratic party hopefuls (there are no nominees at the moment) have been largely silent. That’s not a belief, that’s data.
Biden’s really not a threat to any of them anyway, as he’s repeatedly turned down opportunities to throw his hat in the ring (for four years now).
It’s reasonable to think that centrist, well-connected, old-hand Biden has as good a chance as any of beating Trump in 2020, so if any “political hit job” were being conducted, a more likely culprit would be Repubicans (“righties”?) because they would prefer an easier candidate to beat. But there’s no real evidence either way, so any such claim is just speculation, right? The most likely explanation is that the women are being honest. Whether they are being overly sensitive is a different question.
At the risk of repeating myself or straying off-topic, the one candidate the WH does NOT want running against Trump is Biden. It’s early, but hypothetical matchups between Trump and Biden consistently show the latter winning by a landslide (all the other Dems also easily beat Trump too, but not all of them by double-digits).
Let’s take a moment to be awestruck by the unmitigated psychopathic audacity of Kellyanne Conway to speak disapprovingly about “creepy uncle Joe” videos while fronting for a creep like Trump. It’s like the spokesperson for Charles Manson scolding someone for jaywalking.
No matter how centrist he is (and he’s modern Democrat centrist, no doubt, which means slightly right of center), the GOP/RNC will paint him as a far left socialist. Frankly, like Obama, he’s a mid-90s Republican in most respects (except on a couple issues like abortion & LGBT rights).
I agree. It always struck me as the height of mendacity or stupidity for Republicans to label Obama a socialist (or a Muslim, a Nazi. a Kenyan, or the AntiChrist).
I don’t want Joe Biden in the race, for a number of reasons, none of which are related to women and their stories. I don’t think he’s a predator, and I do think he DOES care about women, unlike someone who shall remain nameless. However, it’s doing women a huge disservice to question their motives for coming forward, and that makes women less likely to come forward in the future. Women are often women’s own worst enemies. Personally, I think Biden missed his chance to run, and at this point, I would really prefer to have just about anyone who is not an old white man or a Republican as president

Except it’s not “lefties” who have been trying to “eliminate” him. And it’s not a “sterile PC environment”.
The people who have been yelling the loudest about Biden have been right wing pundits & meme makers pulling “whataboutism”.

Polling, but the polls really don’t matter (as 2016 showed quite conclusively).

He may run, but the odds are relatively slim given his history, unless something major changes.

Whatever the origins or reality, the WH is sure making the most of the story. Far more aggressively than any of the Dem candidates.
