Let’s assume for argument’s sake that the propaganda these Trump-fronters promote is true (it’s not): the New Zealand killer wasn’t primarily a white supremacist, Trump’s comments about “very fine people on both sides” was a deliberate liberal media distortion, Nixon’s “southern strategy” was a fiction, etc. Why would these cause the administration to defund a program intended to combat white supremacists? For a president so “disgusted” by white nationalists, he sure seems to go far out of his way to promote policies favored by them and remove impediments to their expansion.
