Mr. Trump is demanding that the “radical left-wing media” apologize for its coverage of the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. I’m not a big fan of Mr. Trump, but fair’s fair. If coverage by radical publications on the left were inaccurate, I suppose the journalists ought to apologize. I didn’t know much about the coverage, so I decided to look into it.

The Communist Party USA actually had no archived articles about the investigation. They did have some opinion pieces about keeping solidarity with the workers’s struggle in Venezuela, and a history article on May Day and the Paris Commune. There was one opinion piece encouraging resistance to the “Trump Agenda,” but nothing specifically about the Mueller probe. The coverage of domestic politics was disappointingly sparse, frankly.

I checked Worker’s World, which was filled with pieces on the May Day U.S.-backed attempted coup in Venezuela, along with one about a protest in East Harlem supporting laundry workers, and an opinion piece criticizing “racist, sexist” Joe Biden and “the bankruptcy of the Democratic Party.” Also, an article that could have been written decades ago about hundreds marching in Philadelphia chanting “Free Mumia Now!” I can see why Mr. Trump wouldn’t like the coverage of Venezuela, but I’d think he’d find common ground with WW’s views on Mr. Biden and the Dems. No articles, archived or present, on the Russian investigation, though.

I’d search through more radical left-wing news sources, but there really aren’t any others of note. I’m not sure what Mr. Trump is on about.
