I recall a time when Astral Planing, Pyramid Power, healing crystals, and channeling of beings, including dolphins, from which one was claimed to be reincarnated (among other comparable phenomena) were of such widespread interest that it seemed every other block had an incense-wafting New Age store on it. I even once dated a woman who had a huge pyramid constructed over her bed.

It is puzzling that such stunning discoveries have largely gone by the wayside, given their immense potential to, for example, obtain immortality and pleasantly colored auras.
